Sarı once lived freely in a park in Ankara, Türkiye. When the new law placed street dogs like him in danger, volunteers brought Sarı and his friends to the safety of a private shelter.
He was saved—but a shelter was never meant to be the final chapter of his life.
Sarı is five years old, calm, intelligent and wonderfully adaptable. He loves being around people and walks happily beside them, including on a leash. He can travel by car and generally gets along well with other dogs.
He isn’t asking for a perfect life.
He is simply ready to become part of one. 💛

• Male hound mix
• Healthy
• Titration tests completed
• Friendly and affectionate with people
• Generally good with other dogs
• Calm, smart and adaptable
• Walks on a leash
• Comfortable travelling by car
Sarı does react to cats outdoors, and his behaviour with cats inside a home has not been tested. A cat-free home would therefore be the safest choice.
The adopting family would preferably cover his travel and adoption costs, although the volunteers may be able to share some of the expenses.
